Just be careful for what you choose!! The NPI's don't have the room for large cams because of the pistons (flat tops) unlike the PI pistons.

Would you recommend comps stage 1 cam the 264 or the stage 2 cam the 270? I finally got a set of heads that were fully perfessionally ported by a shop in toronto and the guy paid like 1000 dollars for the porting, flow bench testing, new valve seals and doing the valves too...... so i need some help with cam selection.

To take advantage of those heads, you will need exhaust, and cams to make them work real nice. Your main issue will be piston to valve clearance issue. Unless you have your pistons notched, i'm pretty sure you will be limited to cam selection.

Did you have a fully ported head or longtubes to make 280hp at the wheels or...?

No, BBK shorty headers, heads I polished the exhaust ports, and just cleaned up the intake ports (left them textured) Ran the cams with Comps beehive valve springs.
I installed the cams without degreeing them, and when I pulled the motor ,discovered there was PTV contact. Very slight, but enough to scar the pistons (all 8)
Thats why we are saying be careful in choosing an aggressive cam.

What if i have a perfessional mechanic degree them so that i dont get ptv, will that make a difference to make sure there is clearence? See i am going to be running longtube headers and the heads i have are perfessionally ported all the way and even flow bench tested too....so i am hoping for 300-320 rwhp . Did you change the injectors or mass air sensor ? And what size throttle body you running..cause i heard 70mm is the way to go.
