Hps npi to pi intake adapter

Hey guys i currently own a 96 gt auto and sadly i have just about every bolt on and its still slow as hell.So i plan on doing to complete top end kit trickflow heads, cams intake basically brand new top end but seeing as how it is a very pricey project i might have to wait awhile befor i get everypart and everything installed. So here is what i was thinking i could do to hold me over until i get everything done i wanted to buy an hps npi to pi intake adapter
($95) and instead of just using the stock pi intake manifold use either the typhoon or trickflow pi intake manifold,I just figured if i plan to buy one for my build anyways i could use that on my non pi engine until i can afford to do the full top end.The way it see it is why buy a stock manifold use it for a summer then when i do the full build junk it and buy an aftermarket one, plus i figured if guys with no pi motors are picking up 15hp on the stock manifold you could pick up even more on the aftermarket one.Any thoughts guy or has anyone done the swap with either the typhoon or trickflow manifold to non pi heads.

To see any gains with an after market intake, you need to be built with cams, nitrous, blower, or turbo. Most of the aftermarket intakes are designed with boost in mind. So if it was me, i would stick with the original plan, and keep saving, and not waste money else where.

^^^ As with the rest, save everything you can, then put your build together all at once. How much HP/TQ are you looking for? Maybe get a used aluminum block and start building on that, so you can just do a swap when you are ready?
