Rebuild Time: Which Headers?

In a couple weeks my car is leaving for it's new powerplant.

I still have one item that I cannot decide on. Headers.

People have said that long tubes rub if you're lowered (I'm 1.5" lower) and that they destroy low end torque. Others say that shorties aren't enough of a gain, so maybe mid lengths?

Considering the new engine, the car will definately need headers whether they're shorties, mid lenghts or LT's. If anyone has any personal experiences, let me know

I'd personally go with the Ford Racing shorties. I hear with the LT's you have to remove one of them if you need to work on your tranny so it's like doing the job twice. Then, you can maintain your low end power too.

On a 4.6, I would go with banassi mid length headers. and H/X Pipe. The mids seem to be making the best HP?TQ overall on the 4.6 cars. There not cheap though.

I seem to recall pricing those out and they were pretty expensive but I should look into it again.
