Terminator vs Mach 1.

I need you opinions before I purchase my dream car ...Considering that I am not a street racer and do not intend to go to the track, is the Terminator really worth it to me compare to a Mach 1 as a fun daily driver during summer time??? I love the Cobra but that shaker on the Mach is pretty sexy too...What do you guys/gals think??

Personally I'd go with the Mach 1. The reason being there's only two reasons I'd buy a Terminator which are the T56 and IRS, and both of those could easily be swapped into the Mach 1.

Ultimately the choice is yours, and since you're just looking for a good DD for the summer. The Mach 1 would best suit your needs, especially if you like the shaker or were looking for an automatic.

Damn, I need to get back into sales.

Get the car that you really want! You don't want to have any regrets when you do purchase it...btw the Terminator is more than just the T56 and IRS, it's a built motor with forged internals and s/c'd of course, just my 2cents...a little biased too...lol

No problem. I was just throwing the automatic out there.

I know the Terminator is more than just a T56 and IRS. But what I meant was those are the only selling points for me, as I have no need for that much power. Think about it, I'm a fairly young guy (25) with a very heavy right foot... I think a Cobra would get me into a load of trouble, in a very big hurry. Personally, I'd rather get a decent 2.3 liter as a DD till I find my truck and do what I want to it. Then I'd start tearing into the Mustang.

Yeah I know you were just exposing my options but to me automatic does not match with a Mustang but that is just me!!

On my end, I am 32 with a family now so driving like crazy on the streets is not an option anymore that is why I was asking if the Terminator really worth it for me...Am I gonna see a huge difference on a 0-120 km/h for example..?? On paper, I think there is a 0,5 sec difference between the two of them so how does it feel on the road??

It probably won't feel like much... But then again, there's another question. Which fits your budget more?

btw. There are 4 stick shift Mach 1's in Quebec, ranging in price from $21,900-$29,995

Canada Used Autos, Cars, Trucks, Boats, Motorcycles Online Classified Ads - AutoTrader.ca (Mach 1)

As for Cobras. There are 6, 4 of which are Verts. And they range from $23,999-$28,995

Canada Used Autos, Cars, Trucks, Boats, Motorcycles Online Classified Ads - AutoTrader.ca (Cobra)

I'll have a budget of about 25$G for the Stang...And by the way, I wouln't mind travelling a bit to get a good deal. White is definately my favorite color and hardtop of vert makes no diffence to me since I like them both... I'll keep checking...I am just wandering about the feeling the car would give me as a DD...I test drove a Mach but never had a chance to try a Cobra yet...

$25k will certainly get what you want... And in the end, it all comes down to which strikes a cord with you the most.
