Question Don't want to run dumps/turn-downs...

I can't run tail pipes on my 1990 (panhard rod gets in the way), but I don't want to run dumps/turn-downs because it will be to loud...Anyone have any ideas?

Not many choices other then custom bent tailpipes to either exit out the side or have them bent to go under the axle rather then over.

Just to expand a bit ... if you go under the rear axle, you're going to have to limit some of the excess rebound travel to keep it from hitting the exhaust.

Out the side, Walker has some DynoMax Super Turbo mufflers that are made with the inlet and outlet on the same face of the muffler ... easier to route the pipes out the side. Alternately, the U-bends supplied in their sidepipe hook-up kit can be made to work with a rear outlet muffler to get pipes exiting ahead of the rear tires.

cheers
