There is no knock sensor on the 94-95 5.0L. I'm sure of this because I researched it last year then did a 351W swap and am now running noisy timing gears with no problems at all. Apparently the gears make enough "noise" that it would send a knock sensor into permanent "timing retard" mode. Hey what cam are you running?? The computer on the 94/95 is twitchier than the previous A9L series and I had to chip my car after I added an E303 a few years ago. I had some idle surge problems between the time I changed out the cam and the time I added the chip.

DiabloSport chip. When I put the chip in, I was also running a Vortech STrim, after-cat exhaust and a Cobra intake with 24# injectors. Without the chip, I had wicked blower hiccups and idle surge. With the chip it was totally smooth. Chip is for sale if you're interested as I upgraded to SpeedBrain when I did the engine change last year. You'd want to get it reburned to suit your combo though.

I paid $150 US for it (already burned) but I don't think it's worth that much now. How about $100 Cdn shipped to you?? You should be able to get it burned somewhere in Toronto (maybe by Paul daSilva, or maybe by Steeda in Milton??). Actually, this chip was programmed for 24# injectors, 80mm MAF, Cobra intake, aftercat exhaust, E303 and the blower, so you may find it works as is (your engine simply doesn't go into boost, which is the only real difference). This is a single program chip, not the newer flip-switch. Takes about 10minutes to put in. You can check my feedback on Ebay as Dragyn407. Another option you MIGHT want to consider is actually sending your GT computer to Saleen, who can reprogram the whole thing for you.
