Mix / match '89 and '94 5.0?

Want to use a '94 short block (no cam/gears) with 89 wiring and ecm, HO intakes, E7 heads etc...for my '69 transplant (hiway use only). Should I order a cam for an '89 or for a '94? Just getting into this EFI stuff. Thanks

I thought the cams were the same for both? Are you sure you are not talking about a cobra cam?

i suggest using an 87-90 shortblock for the forged internals, instead of the 94 with the Hyperpathetic pistons

Cams and firing order are the same.

I have an 86 longblock here, forged flat top pistons, ported intake, some E7 heads, etc. I'd let it all go cheap as i need space.
