Hey -glad you could join to hawk your event.

What part of Canadian MUSTANG Owner's Club made you think anybody would give a about a Porsche Club of America Show and Shine? Incidentally, I would consider the Mustang to be a good ol' domestic vehicle not an exotic- what else would you have to contribute to this site other than that posting? Answer....nothing.

If you think I'd show up to an event like that.... dude, you're in the wrong spot. Apologies to the regular MUSTANG members for the rant, but this sort of thing irritates me. If it was Mustang related, fine, but honestly, when have you ever sat and had a conversation with the owner of an exotic and not felt like they were feeling smugly superior?

Ok, I’m not an exotic car owner, so I know nothing about the “smugly superior feeling” you talked about. If someone have, then that’s their problem. From my point of view, I don’t think that a well modded mustang is inferior to a Porsche or any other exotic car, and that’s why I’m here.

As the organizer, we would like to see as much sport cars as possible. We will separate cars to different groups (eg. Porsche, Ferraris, and Exotics including American, Asian and European), and rewards will be given out to the first & second winners of each group.

I’m here because I don’t underestimate mustang, and I hope you don’t make me think.

Again I'll say...thanks for joining to hawk your event.

Disregarding any of the feelings of superiority the foreign brand name owners seem to carry over domestics, I'll say it again - you have nothing to contribute to this website other than posting up your event, and again....even that's not relevant.

Your organization doesn't have anything to do with Mustangs - you can't even say the COUNTRY is the same. Porsche Club of America, Canadian Mustang Owners Club. Hmmm....yah I see how there's lots in commen there. Somebody head over to the Porsche website and throw in a plug for the KW Mustang Club show and shine and see what kind of reception THAT gets from the wine and cheese crowd.

testdummy might be an annoying douche sometimes, but at least he's an annoying douche who drives a Mustang!!! Do you see where I'm coming from here? I'm trying to make it really clear so you don't have to think. (your words, not mine)

Then again, WTF, it's a free country.... maybe I'll register on your website and throw out some events of my own.

Looking at your stats, you drive a 911 turbo and you probably just joined yesterday. The ad was very inappropriate and you joined this forum to try and get people to attend your function citing, All exotic cars including "insert 'car model from the forum you just joined to attract visitors to an envy festival' here" are welcomed. Please leave this forum immediately! Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Peace

Its very interesting to see the locations of the event... Rolling Hills is the arm pit of golf clubs that Clublink owns, I worked there in '98 and '99! The dinner is at a nice golf club just up the street, but I am surprised that someone would pay the money to host anything at a clublink facility.... the are way over priced... anyway.... lets go and play a round and lob golf ***** at these euro cars!! ha ha ha... joking! Good luck

Oh will the club be open when you are doing this... if so where in the hell are you going to be putting the cars... usually the parking lot is rammed with golfers using the 54holes they have there?

appreciate the heads up

not sure why a few have their panties in a bunch.....I'd gladly park my Stang amoungst a bunch of euro-exotics...I think it would hold it's own in a showNshne

I do have a rare british roader that we've been blinging out the engine bay nicely....it's not flawless like my Stang....but it's an option

question.....can you show up that morning and register your car, or do you need to pre-register?

Thank you for your understanding, and we are looking forward to seeing your rare british on the event. You can purchase the admission at the entrance, but it's recommanded that you pre-register to save a good spot.

Your looking forward to seeing his rare British....what about his Mustang?

Looking forward to seeing that as well???

Good luck with that 2000BLKGT....hope you enjoy the show. My panties weren't in a bunch by the way.... I'm running commando!!

My problem was not with the event, if you haven't guessed already. My problem was people who join the site for the sole purpose of hawking thier event or product and spamming up the threads with an event that has f@%k all to do with Mustangs. What next....... a ricer convention show posted up?

Again....head on over to a Porsche website and post up the KW Mustang club show and shine and see how long that lasts. I think it's great you've got a fish and chipper to go with your Pony, but most folks join a Mustang website because they have a Mustang and are interested in talking Mustangs. Be slightly different if dude was promoting a car enthusiast show and shine, like that Plunkett deal in London. There was no particular affiliation to any brand I believe...didn't pay a whole lot of attention to it, but that's my understanding.

you make good points

I just take the stance of being a car/bike enthusiast first, and brand/model ownership second

and yeah....my Stang is way more of a show car than my Morgan....but the Morgan is a pretty cool little buggy in it's own right

I'm gonna watch the forecast and make a call that morning....the show sight isn't far from where I live
