HID Fog light install

HID Fog light install
I swapped the halogen bulbs in my '08 GT fog lights for HID bulbs using a LUMENS kit. It took a while to figure out where to mount the ballasts because there isn't a lot of open space in the engine bay and I didn't like the way they looked just hanging by one bolt from a flimsy bracket. I've seen photos of other installations using the fuse box bolt and one of the air cleaner bolts to mount the ballasts but I didn't like them too much. Others have used two sided tape to stick them to the steel bumper but it didn’t seem permanent enough a fix. I made some new aluminum mounting brackets for the ballasts out of 1X0.25" bar, and I used stainless steel machine screws to fasten them inside the front fascia behind the blocked off lower grilles on each side. Access was easy through the open center and the side grilles are right below the fog lights. The wires are just long enough to make it work. The whole thing took less than two hours to install including making the brackets.
The only hiccup was that the LUMENS documentation specifies an H11 bulb for my GT where the fog light actually has an H10. Once I got the right kit it was smooth sailing. I picked the kit up from Performance Improvements in Guelph for $100.
I'm going to install projector headlights in the near future but I will keep the OEM halogens in them. I really liked the people at the Guelph PI they were friendly and helpful, and they had no problem exchanging the H11 for an H10 even though I'd had it at home for more than a month, I'll certainly shop there again.

No B&A Photos
I thought about taking some before and after photos like those I've seen in some other forum articles but I in those photos I could never tell much difference before and after so I didn't bother. The light cast by the HID's is astoundingly bright though. When I have the HID fog lights on and I turn on the low beam headlights, the fogs are so bright that I can hardly see any additional light from the headlights.
