I have a 2000 mustang gt and am replacing rear pads,my problem is the piston in the caliper will not turn in I have been turning it for about a hour and it just doesn't want to turn in is there any way to do this other than replacing the caliper.

might need 2 guys, 1 to hold the caliper and 1 to turn
just did mine last weekend and 1 of them was a real bitch but the other was ok
rememeber to do 1/2 turn every 10 seconds to let the fluid get back to the bottle

I had the same problem as you did. I tried to open the bleeder screw and screw it in. Didn't work - I can't explain that. So I disconnected the brake line and unhooked the Ebrake, took the caliper over to the vise and it turned in jsut fine. I think holding it in the vise made it easier to get the turn in started. Once it started to turn in, it just turned in the way it should. This also allowed/forced me to bleed the brakes which I wanted to do anyway.
