What DIYAutoTune.com has for Mustangs

Hi,

We've glad to be the latest sponsors of CMOC! Here's what products we have for the Mustang crowd.

Our first product, and the one that's still our best seller, is the MegaSquirt line of universal standalone ECUs, which are available as either solder it yourself kits or in ready to run form. You can go for anything from a cheap fuel-only controller to replace your carburetor, up to a sequential-fire, coil on plug system with gear specific boost control, progressive nitrous control, and other high end features.

Lately, we've come out with a complete, plug and play package based on the MegaSquirt-II, for '86-'93 5.0 Mustangs:

A similar one for '94-'95s is in the works and will be out soon.

We also have the DIYPNP build it yourself ECU kit, which is now available with a Ford EEC-IV connector. It can be used on both 5.0 and 2.3 Turbo Mustangs, as well as other Fords - Escorts, trucks, the Merkur XR4Ti, and more.

We carry the Innovate line of wideband oxygen sensors and data logging equipment. You can install one of their gauges to keep an eye on your air/fuel ratio, or use the OT-2 to transmit OBD-2 data to your iPhone.

Since we sell fuel injection controllers, it only made sense for us to add fuel delivery parts as well. We sell Walbro fuel pumps, for those who want a lot of fuel flow for cheap, and the SX Performance line for those who want more high end racing fuel system components. The SX line is not very well known, but they're made in the USA by Essex Industries, which is better known for their aircraft pumps. We also carry SX's line of racing fuel filters and AFPRs, as well as Delphi injectors that are a direct fit for 5.0 and many other Mustangs.

We've recently added ignition coils to our lineup, including a hot CDI coil for use with MSD or M&W ignitions, and an upgrade for 4.6 coil on plug coils.

We also sell Weather Pack connector kits and crimping tools, for rewiring projects. We've made sure to include plenty of pins with our kits so that even if you don't have all your crimps turn out right, you still shouldn't run out of pins before you run out of connectors.

There's always some wiring to be done with an EFI engine swap - at the very least, you'd have to transplant the 4.6 wiring harness over. (Actually, sometimes that's not "least" - depending on the donor car, making a standalone wiring harness from scratch may be the easy way out.)

ya i am aware there is going to be some wiring involved for the swap. but it does not mean i have to like it

a standalone wiring harness interests me the most

We're looking into model specific harnesses like a purpose built 4.6 harness, but I can't promise a timeframe for when they're available. Thank you for the suggestion!
