MMR Shelby GT500 breaks 200 mph in the 1/4 mile
We’ve been following the MMR Shelby GT500 race car for a few months now, providing a sneak preview of it back in August and showing you a video of its debut at the PSCA Nationals in Las Vegas in September. In its first outing the car ran a best time of 7.35 seconds @ 192 mph – not bad at all – but the MMR team has since outdone itself with a 7.18 @ 200.5 mph. The car actually had a quicker run of 7.06 @ 204.4 mph, but with no video to prove it.
According to MMR, this makes their Shelby GT500 the fastest modular-powered Mustang in the world, and the first to crack the 200 mph barrier. You can check out the video below:
