Thanks for all the nice comments. The car has a Carter AFB carb sitting on an Edelbrock intake, sitting on a 289. The VIN decodes as it originally having a 2v carb. Since #s matching is already out the window, and I love to drive it, I plan to replace the C-4 with a Tremec (Borg-Warner) T5. Can get a kit from Modern Driveline for 3 grand.

T5 Swap, T5 Conversion, Mustang T5 Swap, Auto to Manual Transmission -FordMuscle.com

Modern Driveline - Full T5 Conversions for Mustangs and Cougars 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973

What's new in the car? Huh, what isn't?
Brakes (complete)
Tires
Exhaust
Ball joints
Control arms
Door hinges
Weatherstripping
Headliner
Visors
Carpet
Door liners
All locks
Stereo
Dash
Speedo cable
Heater cables
Package tray
Window washer stuff
Steering wheel
Sequential LED taillights http://www.mustangproject.com/Produc...8-adeedd738c56
More....
I'm into it for a little over $20,000

Ken

By the way, anyone notice the vanity plate? There must be a (fellow) geek or two out there who knows what it means.
