Fusion will fit between the Focus and the FiveHundred and will be available September 2005. It is built off the Mazda6 platform. Competition will be the Altima, Accord, Grand Am and of course Mazda6. It will be available in 4 Cylinder but mostly V6s with a 6 Speed auto trans.
It will be shown at the Detroit Auto Show and also at the Toronto show in February.
The expectation is for high volumes similar to Focus numbers.
It will have great driving dynamics and lots of power with the 3.0L V6/6 Speed auto combination.
There will be a Lincoln version to be called Zephyr a year later.

 

not a big fan of those headlights or wheels but have to see a better pic to get an idea of the car overall.
