**Need Help** Anyone with a 99-04 Owners manual

I need someone to look in their manual and tell me where the anchor for the baby seat is supposed to go.

I beleive it is in the centre of the rear deck as it's the only place with the hole, but I want to make sure.

Thanks

There should be a threaded hole behind each back seat in the rear deck structure under the trim that you would screw an Anchor Kit into.

You should be able to see them by looking up at the deck from inside the trunk. You will have to drill or cut a hole through the trim.

2000 and up already have the anchors installed at the factory.

That's what I thought but there are no treaded holes anywhere in my rear deck. Not one!

There is a hole in the centre (unthreaded) but it makes no sense because there's no centre lap belt.

If anyone has the complete anchor package with instructions could you post/scan them? or.....if anyone has one in their car, can you take a picture of it for me?

I have ordered the Anchor Kit, but it has to come out of Edmonton so it will probably be here Friday morning.

It is no charge and apparantly the dealer can charge Ford Warranty one hour for installation. We will see if there are specific instructions included.

I will let you know when it arrives.

You are looking for information specifically for the '99s. 2000 and up have the tether anchors installed at the factory.

The Tether Anchor Kit came in. Parts number F4ZZ-63613D74-A.
You have two options.

There are threaded bolts (on each side) imbeded in the floor of the trunk area under the trim just behind the rear seat. The anchor can be screwed in and you would thread the tether strap over the top then behind the fold down rear seatback.

The other method it to put the tether bolt through a hole marked with a "T" in the rear deck just infront of the rear speaker under the rear deck trim. The kit comes with a nut and a large oval washer to install and secure the bolt. You would have to punch a hole in the rear deck trim.

I will send you the package.
