05 take-off wheels/tires

Lots of 17" wheels that have been taken off 05 Mustangs as people get after market wheels are available. Will these take-offs fit on the previous generation Mustang? Are the bolt pattern and off-set compatible?

Bolt pattern is the same but the offset is different. The 2005+ cars use a less deep-dish rim than the earlier cars.

Is it possible to get a spacer for them to fit?

I have a 2001 and I can get a set of 2008 bullet rims w/ tires for a good price

I understand the the offset on the bullets is something like +45mm and my stock rims are like +30mm

are there spacers available or something that i could do?

You can use bolt-on 1" hubcentric spacers, get the good ones from Eibach, H&R, or similar sources. Or, you could get the 1/2" thich slip-on spacers from Maximum Motorsports, using with longer studs.

1/2 thick wheel spacers, 5-Lug, pair, 2005+ Mustang [MMWS-7] : Maximum Motorsports, The Leader in Mustang Performance Suspension!

cheers

I was looking at these 1" spacers from american muscle

1in Billet Aluminum Wheel Spacers (Pair) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

So these should work? If so, will there be and difference in performance, alignment or handling?

Lots of deals I am sure. I got rid of my 05gt rims and tires for 500.00 and they were both mint and LOW mileage units. Oh and that was in the summer of 06. Lack of bloody storage was my excuse
