It just looks like a dressed up GT to me. There was a Shelby GT available but they had silver stripes.

Yeah definitely no GT350. 2011 was the return of the 350.

Like ChadStang said, there was a Shelby GT. There was also a throwback to the '66 GT350-H Hertz cars, but it was called a Shelby GT-H, without the 350. I believe it was either 2006, or 2007.

That is not a GT-350. Shelby did produce a GT-350 in 2006 - but that is not it.

By 2006, many years passed by before Shelby made a new Mustang (the last Shelby had been released in 1970). When Ford completed the 5th Generation Mustang redesign, Shelby jumped on board to create the 2006 special-edition Shelby GT-H. The car, which made its debut at the 2006 New York International Auto Show, paid homage to the original 1966 Shelby GT-350H. Like the original, the car featured a black paint job with gold racing stripes. A modest power bump over the regular Mustang GT V-8 engine. Features included a 5-speed automatic transmission, and a package from Ford Racing including a 90 mm cold air intake kit, X-pipe, special performance suspension, and Ford Racing "GTA" axle-back mufflers. Approximately 500 were built for Hertz rental car locations across the country. Once again, renters looking for a true sports car had the option of renting a Shelby Mustang. The Hertz Shelby GT-H attracted so much attention that Ford dealers and customers asked for a version of their own. To satisfy their needs, in 2007 Shelby released three models - GT, GT500 & GT500KR.

Here is what a 2006 Shelby GT-350 looks like:

2006 was the Mustang GT H for Hertz
2007 was the Mustang Shelby GT
2011 was the return of the GT350
All the above were built out of Mustang GT's at Shelby America.

The dude with the convertible gives it away. He's pretty shifty looking giving the thumbs up like that, not to be trusted.
