2007 v6 air and heat not working

Hi,

I swapped the Shaker 500 in my car for one that works and now the air and heat don't work at all. I checked the connector to be sure I reconnected it properly and it seems fine. Is it most likely a fuse? or did I mess something up? Ideas? Thanks!

i would deff check you fuses, and recheck connections, not just visually, but physically put your hand on them. did you have to move/splice any wiring fom the HVAC system?

I concur with crafty. Recheck the conections physicaly. Unplug and replug. Also the fuses. Did you disconnect the battery before the swap? I would also check for codes. These cars like to throw codes when connections are interupted. I cleaned my throttle body the other day and forgot to disconnect the battery and sure as my uncle Bob...she threw a code which made my idle go haywire. Once I cleared the code, she was back to normal.

PS: Even if the OBDII says there are no codes, clear them anyway. Mine did not show a code but I cleared them anyway to make sure. Some codes will not show up on OBD but they are there.

Hope this helps.

Thanks--nope--no splicing or anything. I did actually re-do the connection--pulled it out and re-connected it. So--I'll check the fuses--hopefully that's it --Hmmm I'll check codes too--I actually can't remember whether I unplugged the battery when I did the reconnection so it's possible that happened

It is the connection dollars to dog biscuits. I had exactly the same thing happen to me when I did my stereo. I thought it was properly connected but it wasn't.

Well so far--no codes and I did clear everything anyway as suggested. I tried to check the fuses but I'll have to be more persistent as the one for the blower is really in there--so I'm still waiting on that one 'til I get home from work and am not wearing white . I will re-try the connection one more time, just in case and I'll keep you all posted

PS: thanks for all the help--I really appreciate it!
