2012 V6 Mustang LCA issues
In the past 6 months I have had 5 LCA's installed in my car under warranty. This all started at about 27,000 kms. Each time they have been reinstalled, this time under direction from a Ford engineer the problem, creaking, crunching, grinding noise continues to this day. TSB's have been referenced yet we are back to square one. Of course the service manager had no problem stating that the car is no longer under warranty. Ford of Canada Customer Service is involved and have been helpful as far as contacting the dealer to make sure the work is done right.
That being said is it possible the issue isn't the LCA's or have they been poorly engineered that the problem can't be fixed. Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks.
Jim

Hi Jim, welcome to CMOC. It always makes me a little sad when someones first post on a forum is one that expresses some frustration over an ongoing problem, sorry to hear about your LCA issues. Don't have much help, other than maybe to offer up a suggestion to upgrade and try some of the aftermarket LCA's out there. You're off warranty, so not like you've got anything to lose, and the majority of the time , aftermarket parts can be a little more beefy, because they don't have to look at the overall cost of the car and find that balance between engineering and price point. Seems weird that the LCA's would be replaced 5x and not solve the problem, I'd almost say look elsewhere in the suspension. Anyway, hope you find a solution, these cars are meant to be enjoyed, not chasing problems, best of luck.
