83 front control arms on an 87

Will front control arms from an 83 mustang fit on an 87 mustang, im pretty sure they share the same k-frame and from the listings I saw on Ford racing website they do. Any info is appreciated.

I posted this in the suspension forum to no avail

I can't say for sure, but I think the '87- arms are different, they should physically fit, but I think the tires rub or something.............I don't remember. Why do you want to change them?

The geometry is a bit better on the 87 - 93 5.0L arms, compared to early Fox, IIRC. They will physically interchange though.

well i just called ford, its the same part # for either year, from 1979 to 1993 they are the same, i should have mentioned the control arms are ford racing control arms so they should be improved from the original design.

Ahh ... I remember now. The big change was the low friction ball joints, geometry was the same. I'm thinking of the crossmember, better geometry for the control arm mounting on 87-up.

cheers
