Any problems with a 20 inch wheel
I am talking to a sales guy and I was looking at a 18-8 (r) anf 18-7(f) on my 'stang. He us suggesting a 20-10 / 20-9 combo.
Has anyone encountered problems with this size...he wanted to know the size of my existing tire...they look rather big....but not bad..
Comments please.

I'm not in to 20s, but why would you want to put 18x7 on the car? That's narrower than the OEM 16" wheels on the base model cars.
Why not 18x9 and 18x10 maybe, if you're looking at 18" diameter, or maybe the same widths in 19". The 20s will fit, lots of people have them on the S197 cars. My preference is for an 18 or 19" on them, depends on what look you're after, and if you don't mind having huge heavy wheels on the car. You should also consider what brand and model of tire you want to run, since it may not be available in the size(s) you want.
Tires, look at 255 to 265 width for the front, 275 to 295 width for the rear (if you go with staggered wheel widths).
cheers

Thanks for the input. I have decided to go against the 20's. Not sure why..and absolutely no offence to those that have..will stick to the 18s..I am looking at crgars and they do not do 19s for this car.
Thanks.
