Battery light question

I have a 2000 Mustang GT, manual. My problem is that once I reach around 4000 rpm / touch the clutch my battery light faintly flickers. I have checked the terminals they clean and tight. The battery is 12.4 engine off and some where around 14 with engine running. Any ideas???

My guess is the alternator isn't putting out properly with some rpm. I would get the charging system tested to know for sure.
