Bullit wheel from a GT 2005 on a 1966 Mustang?
Hey guy's,
Would you know if the Bullit wheel 17" from a GT convertible 2005 will fit on a 66 mustang standard suspension. Bolt pattern is 4.5inch and 5 bolts. The size of tires is 235/55/17. Would it fit on it?

please explain this theory.i know that there is alot of backspacing on the 2005-2009 rims but what does that have to do with wheel bearings? check the clearance for back spacing.i believe the 2005 rim has 5 or 5.5 inch of backspacing.also check the hub diameter on the axles to see if it will fit the rim.if the rim is to small in the hub area it can be machined easily. i was in gatineau two weeks ago bob.

It's the front bearing hub that would be an issue, not the rear. In any case, the 05-up style wheels would need spacers approx. 1-1/2" to 2" thick behind them to make them the proper backspacing for a vintage Mustang, which is doable. But the tires would be much too tall at 27" diameter, a 65-66 needs rubber in the range of 25" diameter. So something like 225/50/17 or 245/45/17 (a 245 is a squeeze on the front of early cars).
