Camaro and Challenger drivers. Whats with the hate for the 5.0?

Camaro and Challenger drivers. Whats with the hate for the 5.0?
Being fairly new to the club here I have found in my surfing a lot of bitterness and hate for our machines, and mostly for the 5.0 version. Most of it coming via The Camaro and Challenger boys and gals. I dont see much of that here towards our competion. Whats up with that?
I like both the Camaro and the Challenger they are real nice looking cars but The Mustang has all the history and IMO prestige so I went with the Mustang.

I think its jealousy. And partly because the 5.0 is a legend in itself. Ford beat everyone with it in the Trans Am series, then the whole Fox Body Mustang craze and some people built some monsters out of those little cars and now Ford is outrunning the 6.2L Camaro and the 392 Challenger with a 5.0. I'd be a hater too if I shelled out what the new Camaro and Challenger cost and got my *** handed to me by a guy in a GT 5.0 he paid 35 grand for.

). First and foremost I am a Mustang guy, but that being said, I am also a car guy. I like that fact that the big three are competing again, like they did back in the late 60's and early 70's, and when I go to a cruise night I compliment owners on their cars, regardless of the brand. If someone takes as much pride in their ride, as I do, then I think they deserve to hear "nice car man" or "looks very clean" or any other encouraging comments. Car enthusiasts are all a part of the family we call "Car Nation", but we all know some family members have better taste than others...

My thoughts exactly. I have much more respect for the Challenger.

No matter what there will always be some trash talk between car owners for obvious reasons. You should have seen how pissed those guys were in 03 when the Cobra came out. Camaros were left in the dust and all Dodge had was the SRT 4. For some reason the Chevy guys seem to be the biggest haters especially toward Ford.

Haters are haters dude, if they weren't hating the car you drive, it would be the music you listen to, the clothes you wear or your choice of dog. Jealousy or not, some people just have a bad attitude.
