Convertible owners....question for you
I have a 2007 GT, and when the top is up, and I open the driver door, the window lowers slightly. When I close the door it should the window should raise back up............it doesn't............and suggestions or advise as to what the issue is?

I thought only the hard tops did this, it should go back up on its own after you open the door for sure. If its not do a google search I'm sure that I've read somewhere there is a way to reset them so they put themselves back up properly.

it should roll right back up.Does it do the same on the passenger side? You can reset your window travel easily.
1 while pressing your button down have someone remove the fuse for the power window.
2 then push up to raise the window ,then have a friend re-install that fuse.it should be reset.

Autonut.....the only way it will raise up again is if I do it manually. When I get out the driver's side the window stays down about a 1/4 inch.
def67, I did some research on google, my initial thought was a fuse, so I'll have to try the suggestion from digger56. I went to my ford dealer where I bought my 2010 F150...they were reluctant to provide much assistance......they of course want me to bring it in and charge me shop time at $100/hour........I'd rather troubleshoot myself first.
digger56, the passenger side is fine. I presume the fuses for the power windows are on the interior passenger side near the floor?
Nice rides guys!

There's an easier method to reset the travel without pulling a fuse, I just can't remember exactly how to do it, so I checked another forum and came up with this, try it and see :In order to improve door efforts and sealing, your vehicle is equipped
with short drop glass. This feature lowers the glass when either door is
opened. The glass returns to its closed position when the door is closed.
Proper operation of the short drop glass requires that the windows be
calibrated.
Though your windows will have been calibrated before
your vehicle is delivered to you, it is possible for the windows to
lose calibration. If a window loses its calibration, your short drop
feature will lower the window, but will not raise it again when the door is
closed. To re-calibrate the window, pull the switch up to raise the
window until it completes its travel and hold the switch up for 2
seconds. Another possible effect of lost calibration is that the feature
may not lower the window. To re-calibrate the window in this case, lower
the window until it completes its travel and hold the switch down for 2
seconds. Immediately after releasing the window down switch, pull the
switch up to raise the window until it completes its travel and hold the
switch up for 2 seconds. Perform Short drop re-calibration with
doors closed only. Re-Calibrating with doors open will cause the
window to continuously bounce back.
