Gears

they will not mesh properly all the way around ring and pinion and will be noisy on the coast side of the gear...you get one side to line up the other side wont:BUY RICHMOND!!!!!!!!

Thats weird! I always recommend Ford gears as I rarely have to shim them, I've always had to shim the Richmond Gears...... I've also seen a couple of prematurely worn ring gears from Richmond, never had that problem with genuine Ford stuff. That sucks dude, I hope things work out for ya.

Those are new gears with different type of cut and a bevelled rear face. They have to be set up differently than the non "N" gear. Can't recall the precise changes, but I will look them up. If anyone is NOT familiar with installing "N"'s - don't do it. I think they are only available in one ratio 3:73 or 4:10 - not postive which one.

Why not just order the PROPER gears rather than recommending Richmond?

Thousands of people don't seem to have a problem. Perhaps had you got the correct gears, you wouldn't have this problem.
