One of the ladies at work had an oil change done on her PT Cruiser at the dealer. They tried to sell her a hot oil engine flush. She only has 45K on the car. She didn't bite and asked me and it was a new one for me too. Sounds like a money maker for the dealer and a waste of money for such a new vehicle.

I agree..as a former ford dealership techincian I can say that dealers are always trying to dream up new ways to your money. Funny though that they are always worried about customer satisfaction. If they would just take care of customers cars as needed with no stupid extras everyone would be better off.

The dealers are mega hurting right now and are screwing people 2 ways to sunday on leases.

 

Why would you want a hot oil flush anyways when your car is running, it is getting the hot oil flush.
