Need help with my truck carb
Well I just recently rebuilt my Holley 4160 600CFM ccarb for my truck which has a 460 sitting nicely under the carb. The truck ran well before but the carb was definately in need of a rebuild. Well before I took the carb off the truck the truck would not stay running, it got worse and worse the last few days I drove it ( ran great up until then), in order to keep it running I had to power brake sort of. Once moving she ran fine.
Well now with the carb rebuilt she idles beautifully, but when I go to put it in gear she wants to bog down and stall. I can power brake but its very rough running when I do so. I assume most of the problem is due to tunign the carb, the choke is fully open so I can't see that being an issue. I know my vacuum diaphram for the secondaries is not holding too well, there is a leak there, but can't see that being an issue with just being in gear and on the brakes. Again she idles nicely.
Any ideas?
Anyone near St. Catharines that can come by and check it out for me?
