Buy new ones??? Are yours factory or aftermarket? I ordered the aftermarket set and they go under the door vs in the mirror. But they're in North Carolina at my buddies. I'll pick them up when I head south at the end of March. I have to put mine in the doors as I have Agent 47 Mirrors on my car and there is no room to install them in the mirrors. I never thought about that happening. So that is a good question. Now you have me thinking, will this happen to me?

yes i am still under warranty mine is 13 really stuck sort of because i really dont want to go back to the dealer again here they are less than useless live in isolated town only one dealer in area vancouver is 5 hours and 2 ferry rides away.I know it sucks but is there not an easier way of taking care of this instead of using a dealer,do they really have to be replaced?

If you want it replaced under warranty and Ford to pick up the bill, it has to go back to a dealer, doesn't have to be the one you bought it from, any dealer can honour the warranty. No, the lights don't have to be replaced, and yes, you can just pay them yourself and not go to the dealer at all. You're not obliged to go to the dealer for anything after point of sale IMO.

Perhaps you can take pictures of what's happening with them, document it. Make a phone call to the Manager of a Ford dealer that you will go to for this. Then email him the documentation and hope he makes a case for you with Ford (if it happens enough it should be a known issue). Take a pic of your odometer and a daily paper for proof of mileage. Hopefully the Manager can send you the parts to replace them, and you can return the non functioning parts back. It's a long shot but it may work factoring in your location and distance for warranty service.
Best of luck!
