Shelby announces widebody kit for the 2005-2009 Ford Mustang



For those owners that want to put more power to the pavement, Shelby American has announced a new widebody option for the 2005-2009 Ford Mustang. Available for all models – V6, GT and Shelby GT500, the body package adds approximately 6-inches of tire to the rear of the car and 3-inches of tire to the front and is constructed of high quality lightweight fiberglass. Customers can opt for the full package, which includes front and rear body components as well as a set of 20-inch wheels and tires, or one can choose to purchase the rear package only.

Pricing for the full package is listed at $17,995.

Shelby 2005-2009 Mustang Widebody Package:

■Front quarter panels (additional 3-inches)
■Rear quarter panels (additional 6-inches)
■Front 20×10 wheels
■Rear 20×13 wheels
■Front 265/35/R20 tires
■Rear 345/35/R20 tires

I was looking into this a while back for the 10 up. It really adds an aggressive look but isn't ricey like some kits. I'm a big fan but pretty pricey.

Sorry guys, i'm one of the few that is not into this wide body kit thing!!!
I can see using a kit like this for track use where one wants to get wider meats under the car, and give it a wider track, but i just don't feel it!!

I wasn't a fan either till I saw the Shelby kit. The 10 up kit isn't as wide as the 05-09 kit either.

I like it as well, but would spend the $$ on something else....18 Grand should get you a pretty good built Coyote and a Turbo set up, and pretty much everything else to go with it. Yeah that's where I would spend mine! Nice looking though.

Set a side how i feel about the kit, your way of thinking is the way i look at it too.

Shelby is one of my favorite cars.. I love the shelby GT500 because of its performance and appearance. but the car is little expensive and i think it should be because it deserve a good price. Anyhow you have share a nice one. Thanks for sharing....
