Steeda catback owners...
Thinking of one for my mildly modded 02 GT. From what I've read at stangnet this seems to be a pricey Borla-made system with better-looking tips (etched with "Steeda".)
I've also read that there's little, if any drone with this setup, a massively important quality to me. I've got an MRT catted H which ratcheted up the volume level a bit already on the factory catback...any Steeda owners with a similar setup have any feedback on cabin noise levels and highway drone? My plan is to install a set of 3.73s, perhaps this spring or summer, which means slightly elevated cruise RPM. Again, any feedback on that?
Finally, both reviews I'd read reported that the tips rusted at the "Steeda" etching which is bad. Is this common on this exhaust? The car is garaged all winter and sees no salt but if the tips rust just from washing...well that's pretty bad. I figure a bit of steel wool or metal polish will get rid of cosmetic rust but I don't really want high maintenance tips.
Feedback much appreciated.

The Steeda System is Good!.. You are correct about the exhaust however I have yet to here about a problem with the tips from any of our customers?
I have yet to come across any Performance Exhaust that will eliminate the dreaded 2200 drone. The Straight thru design seems to work the best vs the Chambered.
However some are much better then others.
MAC and Flowmaster seem to have the most Drone.
In the Middle is Borla, Spintech and SLP
the Least seem to be
Bassani and Magnaflow.
I personally like the Borla Tips the best and Borla sounds pretty sweet! for price you can't beat Mangaflow unless you want the Brute SLP system!

I have the steeda catback. I chose it because it's a borla made system to steeda specs.
It's louder than stock at idle, but not loud at all, imo. On WOT it screams nice and deep. I have never liked flowmasters and these sound nothing like them, if that helps you.
No drone. Just deep sound that doesn't sound hollow or tinny.
Oh yah, the steeda etching on the tips rust.

I have the Steeda Catback with Dr. Gas X Pipe. This is one of the most incredible combo's I have heard. There is barely any drone at all.
The Steeda catback is made by Borla, but use different mufflers designed to steeda's specifications. It will be a wicked setup with the MRT Pipe.
