New guy from Ottawa

Hey folks, checking things out here. I am a member of another forum for my Trailblazer SS and found it extremely helpful with my HIDs and CAI etc. I am looking into cat back and a CAI (non fender) and want to get the opinions of others. Any advise shared will be appreciated. Looking forward to getting to know some good people in here. Thanks.

Rob

Hey thanks Archer. I am avoiding the snow right now, I'm in St.John for the week. Crazy snow at home, I live 30 west of Ottawa and we get more snow in the woods!

Welcome to CMOC.ca
Were always happy to see new members!

Im not what to say about the CAI, but I do no that BBK makes a very nice one

Now for cat back...What do you currently have now? Headers (Long or Short tubes)? H-pipe, X-pipe, Pro-chamber, Cats? etc..

What are you looking for sound? Snappy, Aggressive, Drony, etc...

If you looking for drone I would say Flowmaster.
But if your looking for loud and snappy at Higher rpms, I would have to say magna flow! They make a awesome set.

Or if you feel brave and want the very loud and very snappy....You would probly go for the SLP loud mouth.

I hope this helps, it's hard to explain and not being able to hear it.
You could look up exhaust's (Magna flow, Flow Master, or SLP Loud mouth) on youtube.com. There is a website with just sound clips, but I cant remember the web site addy lol.

Welcome aboard.
There is lots of good cat backs out there, basically it would be your choice due to the sound you want. Most guys with the 5.0L like MAC,or Flowmaster.
Cold air intakes,MAC seems to make a nice piece for the 5.0L,in both fender well mounted,or non fender well mounted.

Thanks, you guys sure know your stuff. My ride is bone stock, 112kms 2nd owner 5 speed with air and crz. I want to wake it up alittle bit but really truly wanna keep it stock other than CAI and Cat back ( bolt ons). I had an 02 GT vert 2 years ago with dynomax mufflers, it sounded good to me but as you know it was 4.6. I think the 5.0 L has a unique sound. I am leaning towards the magnaflow or flowmaster, but I would like 2.5'' and 3" slash cut polished exits, I THINK. I will check the you tube search as you mentioned. Thanks.

I have a BBK on my 04 Mustang and love it however it is the "in-fender" type.
Post some pics and welcome to the board.

for my car 91 5.0 does having the "in fender" require cutting?

Welcome to CMOC. I'm also here in Ottawa, driving my poor V6 through this crappy weather.. Can't wait to buy a house with a garage for storage.
