New manitoba Mustang on the site.

Hey. I'm new to the site but not new to forums.

I just purchased a 96 4.6L. It has flowmaster exhaust, cold air intake, oversized TB, Hurst short shift kit, 3:73 gears and the Mach 460 system. I was told it was bought from a police auction and that it used to be an interceptor. It still has the 2 way radio clip on the center console.

Couple questions I have would be:

How else can I tell if this was an interceptor, and what difference would it have? Because I do notice that it is alot quicker then I figured.

And I am in the market for some headlights (aftermarket or stock), mine are all fogged up and would like to know what looks good on the mustangs. Most people just say to smoke them, but I don't like the idea of restricting the light.

I have done it to my previous car... I want to invest in some projectors or something along the lines. I don't know what peoples opinions are on those though for the mustang. I haven't seen them on one before. Might be abit ricey. I'm not sure.

Hey Welcome to the site, from Lloyd, SK. I just thought I would let ya know that I used to own a 1989 SSP Mustang, and did some research on them, and found that they were built in the US & Cda, from 1982 - 1993. Here is the link to Wikipedia's page on these Special Stangs:

Ford Mustang SSP - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the article it talks about California State patrol asking the Ford Motor Co. to build these cars for them, due to the problems they incurred with the Camaro's faulty engines.(I LOVE that part):laughhard

PS: I also ready somewhere, that some of the Police Crown Vic's were actually fitted with a 2003 Mustang Cobra engine, so hey maybe somebody transplanted one of those in your Stang??
