You don't have to leave so soon. No one here is going to be knocking at your door. Just sit back and enjoy all the help here. I'm new here too and I have gotten lots of help. I have met one of the members and he has been a great help to me. Your just in Kingston and I'm In Belleville. Who knows maybe we will cross paths. Just get to know us and you will get to know the humour around here. Try not to take anything personally and enjoy your stay.

Still on the fence about the car pooling idea.....I am starting a new job in a week and have to see what my schedule is going to be compared to her's and then go from there. might have to get winter tires, but trying not to drive it if i can help it for the winter. it is only a 10-15 min ride either way so I think i could handle that. I would be the one driving when i am in the vehicle with her lol

I had Goodyears, But I would recommend getting the Michelin x-ice3. They have great ratings (well the x-ice2 did so I can't see the 3's doing worse) They may be stud able and that is an option, but from my experience, they will prob get worn off rather quickly in the back since it is so light and spins easily. Mine might have not been installed properly but I wasn't impressed with them when I had mine. But like I said they might not of have been installed properly.

I'm sorry I gave you credit for having experience driving a rear wheel car in the winter.

I'm sorry I suggested adding weight into the trunk to help traction.

I'm sorry the kitty litter in your trunk has an added benefit of possibly being used for traction if you get stuck.

I'm sorry if I suggested the benefits of two snow tires over four snow tires.

Gosh darn it, I'm sorry I wasn't more helpful.

Don't forget your aluminum foil hat. Those aliens can be tricky.

Funny story, a guy who works in the head office of the company I work for was e-mailing back and forth about a project with a lady from the fillipines (sp?). He replied to one of her e-mails with LMAO at the end of his reply. After that she was not as responsive to him and was being weird to him. He asked her if something was wrong and she said, well LMAO that means Lick Me All Over! HAHA, sometimes things get lost in translation I guess.

Just get rid of the leftover Beemer attitude and you'll be alright.

BTW: Michelin X-Ice on all four corners has worked well for me for the last seven winters.

Definitely drive it and enjoy it. I have a 2008 BULLITT I hate the fact that I have to drive it in the winter, but life sucks sometimes. I had Yokohama IG20 that were great btwn TC ABS and winter tires I never had an issue. I did switch to the new NITTO NT90W tires basically because I was so impressed with the Nitto INVO's I just put on for summer. You bought your car to enjoy so throw the winter tires on and enjoy it.

I did forget to mention my response to weight in the trunk? I never understood that idea. If you drive for the weather you should have no issue. I have never added weight in the back to me all it does is help burn more fuel.
