1988 turbo coupe thunderbird

i know its not a stang but shares the fox platform so i hope this is ok. its a 88 turbo coupe, 2.3turbo, 5 spd, pd,pw,pseats, sunroof,pt,switch between premium fuel or regular, manual adjustable antenna, adjustable suspension,4 wheels disc brakes,355 rear end, dual exhaust, pretty much the only options that it doesnt have is leather and equalizer. body and under carriage are mint no rust at all, its charcoal grey with the stock 16"mesh wheels. everything works the way it should. has a throw out bearing noise (rattle) when foot is fully off the clutch. will cert and e-test is valid. looking to get $5000 obo or trade. really rare car just not the right time for me to own it. jluscombe11@hotmail.com 905-929-1123. email for pics

Hey,

How many KMs?? How are the front and rear brakes? Do you know if the master cylinder and or ABS stuff underhood has ever been replaced?

Do the programmable ride control shocks still work correctly? Heater core is good?

Another spot of concern on them is the frame rail right near the turbocharger exhaust housing where it is close to the frame... the heat seems to kill the frame rail on that spot to the point of holes....

Is the paint in nice shape under all thbe frost and snow?

I'd like to know the KMs

i just noticed what scones said..hey thanks but when ppl say no offence it doesnt mean you can get away with what you say..go hate somewhere else..as for brakes the person who was interested the safety was just done last month, the frame rails on both sides are good.the shocks work teh way they should, and heater core works mint, the paint was just redone 2 yrs ago by previous owner and have receipt. i understand its dirty and what not but i could care less..ppl will want this car for what it is not for how pretty the carpet looks..

Hey Schlodes, i have seen this car just on the weekends and yeah, its a really clean bird. Jamie take some pics of her when the frost melts, lol. I didnt take a extremely close look but from what i saw it looks damn strait, no rust, no dings, and bone stock.

and yeah thats only frost, the paint looked pretty new, i didnt even know it was a repaint until now.

Hey,

Well it sounds like the car is way clean which is a plus, it seems like them T Birds didn't stand up well so that is a plus.

I will tell you what would bother me if I were seriosuly interested. The engines are tough so a well taken care of 2.3T even with 270 K would probably be fine aside from the usual valve seals. What would bug me is mileage on all the other stuff like the T5, the rear, other long term things that might still be original. [if they are]. But high mile cars aren't bad if they have been well kept.
