safety

Just the stock seat belts, and a proper helmet (Snell rated)
There are 3 clases, depending on driver skill level, all Rookies start in the slower group for their 1st year.

Very safe event, designed mostly for street cars, though in the fast class we get some dedicated road racers.

Drivers meeting

The Drivers Meeting is held 2 weeks prior to the Event date at Ford of Canada HQ at the Ford of Canada Oakville plant. The actual date of it is announced early May.

For some of you out-of -towners this will mean a trip into Oakville from quite a distance, but that is the deal if you are a Rookie to this Event.

Wanna drive ? Make the drive.

Oh and regarding the other above post...... it is a not-for-profit Club, in fact we have run this event at a loss. And we've never had a personal injury, or any vehicle damge other than a small patch of paint scraped off a bumper skin in 9 years of having this Event.
That is standard advice to any Road Track participant. If you'd done it you'd know that.

If it's not for you... fine... keep your comments to yourself.

thank you

member

You do not have to be a member of our Club (GHMA), but we do encourage you to be a member of some Mustang Club, if there is one in your area.
Without Mustang clubs, Events such as this would not be possible !

Your stock street tires are usually just fine, given that they do not have excessive wear and are in good condition and are adequately speed rated.

Read through the Mosport Rules for this event here....
http://www.ghma.on.ca/eventPages/Mosport%20Rules.pdf

There are car prep tips and it gives you an idea of how the Event works.
Hope you can make it.
