Power Stroke Turbo on 5L Stang!!! (pics)
turbo 1.15 ex a/r 1.10 int a/r
My brother went to the dyno today with his 95 mustang. It has a stock bottom engine with tfs heads, stage1 cam 42lb injectors, and a powerstroke turbo. His junky c&l maf meter was maxing out, so they couldnt run it to redline.
At 8lbs boost he was getting 420hp and 480fp torque.
They wouldnt go to 6000 rpm because the a/f was getting lean.
His maf was maxxing out by 4600rpm and would start leaning out.
He is using a tweecer to datalog.
He wanted to see what more boost would do so he turned it up to 11.
At 11lbs boost the dyno showed 460hp and 511fp torque.
They let off at 4500 rpm because of leaning.
With a good maf and 11lbs, I think it will hit 500hp by 6000 rpm
The guy running whe dyno was impressed with how the torque jumped up and stayed linear all the way up the rpms.
I will try to post the graphs when he gets them emailed to me.
Pics of his setup are on my web page, courtesy of XXXX.

The pictures are hosted on my site. I talk to "ranger" quite a bit though e-mail. Him and his brother both have PS turbo's on there mustangs. You can view them here:

Its the same turbo I have sitting in my garage that I was plannong onusing for my home made tuebo setup. Its for sale BTW (I bought a bigger turbo) . I have made a few mods to it to make the setup easier to use on a mustang.
Home made turbo system are not hard to make if you have a welder. Ranger and his brother use a log style header. Personally I would have just used shorty header flipped.

The oil get to the turbo the same way any turbo would, though some braded hose from the sender. You need ot puch the pan for the return line off the turbo the same as vortech does for there S/C's
