Anyone replaced their Shaker 500 speakers?
I'm pretty picky when it comes to audio,I find the sound of this system to be just ok and after seeing the quality of the speakers that came with the car it's obvious why it doesn't sound better. It's shameful the quality of speakers installed for the money charged for the shaker system. I'm pretty sure any aftermarket speakers could outperform these stock units. Have you done this? Did you do it yourself? What brand did you go with? The car is an 2012 coupe

Usually it all depends on what you want to build and what you wanna spend.. A good way to go and keep a stock look to it all is look into the audison "bit ten" it will allow you to add amps, and an entire system if you wish, while still keeping your stock deck and ford sync. Honestly here's a list I'd look into
-The bit ten or bit one. -- $600-$1000
- decent 4channel amplifier. --$300-$1000
- run a set of good mids/tweets off the amp. --$250-$1000
- add mono amp & sub if desired. -- $1200-$3000
Done!
For a good system, that's all you really need. It won't be a crazy show winner, but it'll kick the hell out of any stock system! Just don't cheap out with stuff like Sony or pioneer.. I'd say $3500 should get you a good system with install (without subs). Personally I like hertz, focal, and audison. But for a little less pricey go with alpine.
