New personal best-I've lost it seriously

Starting at 9pm MST Friday night until 3pm MST Sunday I applied 6 coats of Meguires no 7 polish to the Boss and 1 coat to the wife's G6.. The Mustang total is now 109 and the G6 sits at 22 coats. Combined the cars have 10100 kms so as you can see, I'M CRAZY. Oh ya does the car (both) ever shine:biggrin: My old record in the same time span was in 1990 with the then new 90 GT and it rang in at 5 coats. I'm inproving with age and multiple painkillers. I am hoping for another 16 coats of no 7 by May 1st so the total for the first show will be 125 :laughhard

ya know, I'm a bit of a detail freak too.....but some pro detailers will tell ya that layering more than 7 coats of whatever it is that you choose to polish the car with, doesn't improve squat....except perhaps the definition in your shoulders

I've already been profiled on that segment.....got my "Car Crazy" certificate all framed and hanging in the "man-room" with all the other car stuff/pics awards etc

it was for when my bro and I took my Dad to the Golf course

I was watching the show one Sunday morning....had the computer on....and then they got to that segment and did a real freakin tear-jerker....where some dude got real sick and was gonna die....and he couldn't finish his life long car project....so all his buds got together and got the car finshed so he could enjoy it right before he died.....damn....I had a serious lump in my throat

and I thought..."I've got one for ya Barry"...so clicked on his site and wrote him

my Pop's final wish was that his ashes be at the 16th Hole of the Jasper Park Lodge Golf Course in Jasper Alberta....he called that place heaven on earth....in the pond right next to the green.....he left very specific instructions on the spot but not much else..........Dad was a serious car nut as well as a golfer and died very tragically and unexpectedly, so it was only appropriate that we take him out for the final ride in his car, on the way to the course

his ride as you might have figured out is the Morgan +8 that I own today

oh yeah....we're in Toronto.....about 4000kms away.....and we went top down all the way baby

I believe my Dad really enjoyed the ride
