Question on 2011 V6 Shifter Knob

Question on 2011 V6 Shifter ****
Does anyone know HOW one ends up getting the ball-shaped chrome shifter ****? I've ordered Pony Package V6 with interior upgrade, and according to Ford, that comes with the "bright polished shift ****". While I would assume that means it's a nice chrome ball, I've seen a lot of shots of 2011 V6's and GT's with the more common style (plastic, not ball-shaped) shifter. It doesn't seem to be a function of getting the upgraded interior -- Leno's fairly decked-out GT doesn't have it either. Is it only something that you get when you order a GT with the premium trim? I'm just wondering what kind of shifter **** to expect.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hrm. Bummer. I'm betting if it takes a premium GT trim it's just not an option for the V6's.
I don't get how people are supposed to figure this stuff out. It's not explained in the brochure, or the website, and dealers don't seem to know either. And you would think "bright polished shift ****" would indicate that it's a metal ball.

I replaced my shifter **** on my 2011 gt also. I now have the chrome **** you see on the 2011 brochure. You can purchase from your Ford parts counter. You will need to purchase shifter boot also. I got the suede one. Looks better and doesnt seem to show dirt and dust like the leather one does. Its a little pricey but worth it.
