Gas mileage is poor
I dunno why but the gas mileage on my 3.8L is pretty **** poor for the last month.
I am only getting around 340ish a tank.
With the price of gas now, I need to figure this out.
Suggestions?
Outside of the obvious of the heavy foot...

The other morning it was brisk out and started the ole beast and it came to life and loved the cool air. You could tell it wanted to go. That morning it felt better drivability and I would assume gas mileage was better.
Your six is not slouch and have you noticed it feels like draging its butt around town also lately except on the cool days/nights. I do realize that the n/a engines love the cool air and it has been rather high in humidty and air density.
Good luck.
edit:3 Machs in a row, maybe we should have a convention. lol Hi Ray, Hi Walter!

Thanks for the answers.
hehe, uh sure.
Sue & I are talking about having an "end of summer' party & part house warming.
I'd love to have the driveway filled with Mustangs. Man, that would be an awesome pic. 3 or more Machs? WOOHOO

re
since gas prices have risen I noticed by keeping my foot off the throttle on my daily driver increased fuel mileage alot, you are gonna have to learn to let the car accelarate on its own, don't stomp on the throttle even when your getting onto the highways. Drive like a old lady you will see a big increase.
